The Return of Monday Love

27 Feb

Happy Monday everyone! Time to bring back an old favorite of mine, random things I am loving for Monday!

1) Lemon Water. I cannot get enough lemon water. I crave it. Which is funny because Christine wrote a post on this exact same thing last week, go read it, it’s very informative and interesting!

2) Re-making restaurant recipes. I’ve recently re-made Carabba’s Chicken Bryan, Panera’s Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup, and I have plans to re-make Ruby Tuesday’s Zucchini “sliders”. Recipes on the soup and sliders to come soon!

3) Newly downloaded music!

Monday Love New Songs

Yes, I downloaded Selena Gomez. I can’t help but move to that song, it’s too catchy!

4) Compression everything. I now own two pairs of compression socks, a pair of compression calf sleeves, and a pair of compression shorts. These have made my life so happy. I’m even running New Orleans in the calf sleeves! The rest of my super awesome outfit will have to remain a surprise though!

5) Tapering and NO MORE TREADMILL! Daylight Savings Time begins on March 11th, and it’s already light enough at night for me to run after work this week, because I’m tapering, so my runs aren’t going to be any longer than 3 or so miles.

6) Race Day Weather – and really the weather for my entire trip. It looks great!

What are YOU loving this Monday?!

Yay for no more treadmilling it! We’re having insanely wonderful weather here this week. On marathon/half marathon day it’s supposed to start off in the 40’s and end up in the 60’s. Just crazy for this time of year, even here. I must add some new tunes to my workout playlist.

I just ordered my first pair of compression socks and can’t wait for them to arrive!
I dislike lemon water. I feel like I am drinking pledge or some other lemon cleaner – strange, I know, but I always ask for my water without lemon or with lime instead 🙂

Today, I’m loving the sunshine (although it’s very very cold) and my spin class. They’re my favorite participants, tons of positive energy and smiles!

Ok this post TOTALLY reminded me of something I read on the plane (in that dumb airplane magazine they leave in the seat back…I had no choice, I finished my WHOLE BOOK on the flight out!!) – you have to try Cure for drinks while in New Orleans, I read some AWESOME stuff about it!! I figure a good spot to go celebrate your soon-to-come marathon victory!! 🙂

Isn’t an updated itunes library just the best?! And that’s so great that the weather is supposed to be that nice for your race! You’re gonna kill it 🙂

Today we had super amazing weather. 64 degrees and sunny. I went for a run even though I was tired just because I had to enjoy the weather!
