30 for 60

Are you guys up for a challenge? I hope so because Coachy and I brainstormed one for you.

We’re about to be in the thick of the holiday season, when we may indulge a bit more, and workout a bit less. I know I’m not going to say no to that slice of pumpkin pie. With that being said, there is no time like the present to put a little more focus on our exercise habits. Fight the holiday flab, start working out BEFORE New Year’s, and if you work out already, stick with it and kick ass!


How it works:


Starting December 1st I challenge you to work out for at least 30 minutes per day, every single day, until February 1st. It doesn’t doesn’t have to be a bad ass workout every single day, but there should be 30 minutes of body conditioning every single day for 60 days.


Aside from looking hot and feeling great (and not feeling guilty about that extra glass of wine, or piece of pumpkin pie…are you sensing a theme here?) you’re in it for PRIZES! That’s right, I’m offering incentive for you to join my challenge.


Prize Categories: (I haven’t come up with the prizes yet, but I promise they’ll be good…)

  1. Most running/walking miles logged. 
  2. Most workout hours logged.
  3. 30 for 60 Challenge Rockstar: This is for whoever steps up his/her game and really brings it during this challenge. This will be judged by a combination of the most miles, the most hours, and the most days. 
What do I do?

Step 1: Workout, every single day. 
Step 2: Keep track of your workouts: type, distance, time, etc. Grab a simple calendar, write your workouts in, and on January 1st send it to me (runcupcake [at] gmail [dot] com) so we can see who’s rocking in the New Year, and then again on February 1st so we can see who our big winners are. 
Step 3: Tweet your workouts to us (@runcupcake @runbikesurf) with the hashtag #30for60
Step 4: Tell all your friends! Get involved! Have fun with this!!!! Be creative with your workouts, inspire others, get your sweat on!

So, who’s in?! Think fitness, think fun, think pumpkin pie (seriously, just think about it), think accountability (no excuses people, work those heinies!!!!)
